Why Passionfruit? (why do we exist)
Our values (what we care about)
We have a problematic tendency in the current prevailing society/culture. Far too often, we treat other people as experiences. Real friendship is not predicated on agendas or objectives. It is not something to be tasted and then discarded when convenient. It requires a willingness to step outside of a materialistic worldview, even if this can only be managed in brief moments. Failure to recognize this can lead to depression, anxiety, loneliness, and various other mental health issues.
On the other hand, successful practice of this approach can be deeply therapeutic. How? Because it causes us to lose ourselves (our strong individualism and ego), replacing it with the embrace of a shared identity in the unity of bonding with another. One by one, forging such relationships can be a force for positive change to combat the many challenges facing our global community.
Our definition of friendship, & our mission
We have a high standard for what qualifies as friendship. A true friend is someone for whom we would sacrifice our life, should the need arise. That’s a difficult bar to reach, and we realize that most of us will fall short most of the time. The point is to use this idea as a reference point. Our mission is to support you in your endeavor to build relationships that reach closer to the reference.
